The English Language Center at Towson University focuses on academic English to prepare students to study in U.S. universities or to develop their English skills for employment purposes. Students receive 24 hours of instruction per week in small lasses that average 12-15 students. Social activities, computer -assisted instruction, conversation partners, and TOEFL preparation courses are also available through the program.

Minimum age for applicants is 17 years of age. Applicants should submit a completed application, financial support statement, passport-sized photograph, and non-refundable application fee at least 2 months before the semester in which they wish to enroll. There is a $50 application fee.
