Founded in 2016 and located right in the heart of Tokyo, Webster’s School provides English language and drama education for students in Japan. We run classes on evenings and weekends in our interactive learning spaces, facilitating exciting, practical and engaging English and drama lessons to students from a range of ability level backgrounds. We pride ourselves as being the embodiment of 21st century teaching and learning, utilising a range of resources and a variety of media to create a learning environment where students can enjoy learning. The school has spent a number of years creating its own unique curricula that combines modern teaching and learning methods with innovative activities that make learning a positive and fun experience. On the English programmes at Webster’s School, our unique approach includes project-based learning, along with the Eiken standards and the development of key 21st century skills, which are similar to those that are outlined by organisations such as the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21).
In our specialist drama classes, students practically explore a variety of dramatic styles and techniques that allow them to develop their acting skills in a creative way. The classes also improve students’ directorial skills and their theatrical knowledge of interesting practices from around the world. Further, as part of the classes, students learn and develop transferable skills that will be extremely useful to them outside of drama.
We believe that students should be at the centre of their learning and that they should ‘learn how to learn’. That is why we provide each student at Webster’s School with a tailored experience to suit their individual needs, in a setting that is happy and fun.
Our wish is for all of our students to develop into self-regulated learners who become active participants and leaders of the 21st century. We actively encourage internationalism and for our students to develop into global citizens.
We sincerely hope that you can join us!
