We aim to help our students to succeed in their English language learning by exceeding their expectations and delivering value in everything that we do. We offer a range of quality programmes in the English language to our international students.
We offer courses for students from Elementary level (CEF A1) to Advanced level (CEF C1).
At Cork English Academy our General English courses are designed to give you the English language skills to live, work, study and travel in an English-speaking environment.
During your General English course you will meet with the Academic Manager and develop clear learning objectives based on your English language level and needs.
Your teachers will continuously monitor your progress throughout your English course and give regular feedback and advice.
We cover the four basic skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will also work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and guided self-study.
Lessons can be in a group (average 8 -10 per class) or one-to-one. Alternatively you can combine group English language lessons and one to one lessons on our combination course.
Cork English Academy also offers a social and cultural programme to all students taking a General English course. We organize a wide range of activities, visits to places of local interest and sporting activities to give students the opportunity to mix with other students and local people and to practice their English language in real situations.
Before you start your course at Cork English Academy you will complete a English language level test will help us to determine your starting level and ensure that you are choosing the most appropriate course.
General English Courses at Cork English Academy run throughout the year and you can start on any Monday except in the case of a bank holiday where courses then start on the following Tuesday.
You will have a private bedroom, shared living and kitchen areas and a shared bathroom. You provide your own food.
