You can improve your communicative English by joining Acadias ESL program. The classes are designed for learners who want to improve and practice their English for everyday usage and communication. Students may wish to improve their English for personal, work, or travel reasons. Instructors use many different topics and themes to teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The ESL classes mix classroom learning with practical usage through activities outside of the classroom. Classes are small, so you have lots of opportunity to learn and practice your English.Acadias EUP program is for: A) Students who have been offered a conditional acceptance into an Acadia degree program -OR-B) Students who wish to improve their academic English. You receive 27 hours a week of English instruction. Your EUP instructors will teach you the academic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills you will need for the university classroom. You will also learn research skills, presentation techniques, critical thinking, problem solving, note taking, study habits, research paper writing, and more. There are several levels of EUP. You will take the Acadia Placement Test and be put in an appropriate level.
