ANNE’S Language House (ALH) offers English programs including General English, Intensive Conversation, and IELTS Preparation to meet the needs of each English language learner. Smaller class sizes allow for more personalized attention for students. ALH ensures that our students improve their English proficiency level and achieve their goals by providing the best possible English learning environment.

General English

General English
Our General English program gives students the opportunity to improve their all-around ability in English at any entry level. The program covers speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, naturally including grammar and vocabulary. We offer 10 levels from Basic to Advanced and each level is 4 weeks long. Students take a written and oral placement test on the first day to determine their English level.
Program features:
- Develop all the English language skills
- Learn in a class level that is appropriate for students
- Develop their English skills for travel, work and communication

Intensive English
From CAD $300 per week
4 weeks, 8 weeks or 12 weeks
Intensive Conversation
The Intensive Conversation is focused on speaking and listening, and students also spend time on grammar, reading and writing. The program is designed to prepare students to communicate effectively in diverse settings. Students develop and polish their English communication skills for academic, employment, and personal goals.
Program features:
- Practice and improve English communication skills
- Increase confidence and comfort level when using English
- Increase knowledge of Canadian culture, customs, idiomatic expressions, etc
Lesson options: 25 lessons or 30 Lessons
Entry requirements: Upper-intermediate to Advanced levels
Test Preparation

IELTS Preparation
The IELTS Preparation is designed to develop the specific language skills of students preparing to take the IELTS Examination. This course targets the Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking competencies that are required for optimum performance in the IELTS examination.

- Prepare for the IELTS examination
- Gain effective skills and strategies needed for the IELTS examination
- Expand the grammatical and lexical range and increase the accuracy
- Practice test-taking strategies with realistic time limits
