Situated at the heart of the Latin Quarter in downtown Montreal, UQAM is a French-language university with 40,000 students. The newest of all the Montreal universities, UQAM nonetheless offers 200 programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctorate levels in fields such as management, environmental studies, computer science, communications, fine arts, music, etc.
The Language School of the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) offers 4 week intensive immersion programs in English or French during the summer (for a total of 118 hours). These dynamic programs feature the essential combination of quality small-group instruction in the morning along with afternoon field trips (hands-on language workshops, cultural and touring activities) that reinforce classroom learning.
