Description

Humboldt County is a naturally beautiful part of Northern California.Our Activities Coordinators organize activities within the local community and Humboldt State University. All university events, such as intramural sports, clubs, theater, and music are available to IELI students. A complete sports complex is also available for $48 each university semester. We attend local events such as art exhibitions, local theater, symphonies, fairs and rodeos. We can also arrange visits to places of interest such as the famous and beautiful Redwood National Park, or a weekend ski/snowboard trip or a weekend shopping and site-seeing trip in San Francisco. Humboldt State University has a culturally diverse Center Arts program that brings in international and national famous acts and stars.

Our program is designed for students planning to enter an American college or university and for professionals and visitors who need improvement in English. When students arrive, they are placed in the appropriate level of instruction according to their abilities. Advanced students have the opportunity to enroll in regular Humboldt State University classes in August, January, or during the summer term.
