The program is on the SSU campus in a modern, suburban city, known for its safety and friendliness. The excitement of San Francisco, the beauty of the Napa/Sonoma wine regions, and the spectacular Pacific coastline are all less than an hour from the campus.
SSALI provides instruction for academic purposes as well as for social or job-related needs. In addition to "core" courses, students can choose from electives such as TOEFL,Conversation, English for Business, and Pronunciation. SSALI offers fall and spring semesters (13 weeks each) and two 5-week summer sessions (1335). Mid-semester enrollment is also permitted ($2135).

Sonoma State American Language Institute
Description

Student Services
SSALI provides full orientation and strong individual support. Counselors are available for university placement and for academic or personal counseling. The I.D. card permits full use of campus facilities: new information center, media resources, computer and language labs, new recreation center,athletic equipment, swimming pool, tennis courts, etc.
Additional Services
SSALI enjoys a cooperative relationship with the SSU Office of Admissions. SSALI can grant conditional admission to eligible students who intend to pursue an undergraduate degree program at Sonoma State University.
Other Programs
Certain advanced SSALI students may be eligible to simultaneously take a limited amount of SSU course work for degree credit.
