LGs are private conversational lessons. Students meet for one hour lessons with an advisor for a discussion on a topic of their choice, and work on improving American slang, knowledge of American culture, pronunciation, and developing vocabulary. SLGs are minimum 10 hour private lessons. Students meet with a specific advisor on a specific topic. The advisor prepares for the lessons in advance on specialized topics such as listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, and TOEFL reading, writing, and listening.
