The objective of the Advanced Studies English Program (ASP) is to meet the needs of advanced level students who wish to sharpen their English language skills and prepare for university level coursework. The four courses in this program, American Literature, TOEFL Preparation, Academic Writing, and American Studies are designed to help students meet these goals.
To be eligible to enter the Advanced Studies English Program, students must be at least 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent from their respective countries. A student must also have successfully completed Level 6 of the Intensive English Program or, after taking the placement test, receive approval from the ESL Department.
