We strive to improve our student's confidence in their pronunciation, American accent, intonation, writing, interpersonal communication, interactions and cultural awareness in business and social settings. ESL Accent Coaching
Description
DCACI offers accent coaching that is customized and tailored to fit each individuals specific needs. The two most important and often overlooked aspects in learning a language, especially the English language is to first reduce your accent and second, maintain clear lines of communication and pronunciation. Remember, the object of clear communication is to be understood. If people cannot understand you they will most likely either give up on the conversation or ask you to repeat yourself so much that you will end up frustrated and annoyed. Basic accent reduction package (12 sessions)
-Comprehension of the vowel sounds and production
- Consonants and problematic consonants Syllable and word stress
- Intonation and smoother speech flow Shadowing (with videos)
- Written vs. spoken language
- Homework & quizzes to help reinforce learned concepts
Standard accent reduction package (24 sessions)
Basic package plus the following:
- Basic audio for listening and pronunciation
- Interactive computer software
- Customized homework and resources
