SESL is now housed in a central location. All classes meet at the "Fruit Ridge Community Collaborative" (FRCC) located at 4625 44th Street, Sacramento, California 95820 in Room 12 in the main building.
SESL offers two evening classes for students in the Beginning and Intermediate levels and a free conversation class for all interested adults on Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30. In addition to learning English grammar and strengthening students' abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, students also learn grammar and "life skills" - the ability to function in a new country and a new culture; for example, they learn how to talk to doctors and teachers, how to exchange things they bought, how to rent an apartment or house, how to make "small talk", and how to get a job, and much more. The evening classes meet Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 to 9 pm. Please call (916) 314-3301 if you have any questions about SESL's English program. Please leave a message and someone will call you back to answer your questions.
