All classes in the English Language and Training Academy (ELTA) are located in American University's Spring Valley Building in Washington, DC (USA).
The English Language and Training Academy (ELTA) at American University is a full-time program for students who wish to improve their English language skills while becoming closely oriented with American culture. It includes 18 hours of instruction per week, three levels of instruction from intermediate to advanced, access to all AU facilities, conversation partners, and site visits in Washington, DC. ELTA offers students a number of flexible study options such as a 14-week semester and 5 or 10 week summer sessions. All program options are designed to meet each student's individual goals and effectively prepare them for future work, study, or general communication in English.
