With over 36 years experience the University of Arizona Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) provides English language training, American cultural studies, ESL classroom research, and English for Special Purposes (ESP) training programs.
CESL offers multiskilled academic preparation to enter a U.S. college or university with up to 7 levels of instruction. Special interest courses include TOEFL Preparation, Advanced Grammar, American Idioms, English through Music, and others. CESL also offers CAI, including keyboard skills, a multimedia lab, e-mail, and internet access.
Students have a variety of housing options: UA dormitories, apartments, or homestays. Potential students are responsible for their own housing choices and arrangements. CESL staff will guide them and give information.
