When you start in our ESL program, we’ll give you a test to identify your English ability. Then we’ll place you into one of seven levels (ESL Level 1 – 6, or English for Academic Purposes).
Then every day, you will take a class with students at the same level as you.
You will also get to choose two separate elective classes, to round out your ESL education.
You can choose to study in the morning or the afternoon:
-Morning ESL: 4 hours in the morning, 5 days a week -Afternoon ESL: ~5 hours in the afternoon, 4 days a week.
We also have an Intensive ESL program for students that want to take additional English electives with their ESL course.

LASC also offers a TOEFL or IELTS Preparation program to help students prepare for the TOEFL or the IELTS.
LASC is an authorized center where you can take the official TOEFL test. You can also use our computer lab to take free practice TOEFL tests offered by LASC.

We also have an Intensive TOEFL or IELTS Preparation Program for students who want to spend an entire day preparing for the TOEFL or IELTS.
