Western Michigan University is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a small, culturally active, friendly city of 80,000 people. Kalamazoo is three hours by car from Chicago and close to many year-round outdoor recreation areas.
Regular sessions in fall and winter are 15 weeks long and those in spring and summer are 7 weeks long. Every session includes 20 hours of classwork and lab work per week and weekly extra-curricular activities. CELCIS has four levels of instruction: Elementary, Intermediate, Pre-Advanced and Advanced.
We arrange for students to live in dorms on campus when they arrive. Both on-campus and off-campus apartments are also available, but must be arranged by the individual student with help from the University Housing Office.
