UC San Diego Extension’s English for Academic and Professional Development (EAPD) program is designed to improve English language skills of adult ESL learners for academic, professional, and personal success. Our high-intermediate to advanced-level courses provide specialized knowledge and education for those looking to refine their communication competencies for today’s workplace.

Develop and build your English language for a successful career. Our courses focus on the essential needs to be an effective communicator. High-quality classes are conveniently offered in the evening, after usual work hours, and will focus on key subject areas such as: academic, business, and technical writing; grammar and vocabulary; conversation and oral presentation; and English pronunciation and fluency.
