The English as a Foreign Language (EFL) department offers an intensive academic English language program that provides academic English language classes to non-native speakers of English.
The mission of the English as a Foreign Language Department at Wake Technical Community College is to provide adult non-native speakers of English with opportunities to develop the cultural and language skills necessary for the attainment of personal, vocational, and academic goals.
The department supports the efforts of non-native English speakers to become more competent in communication, become more effective on the job and in the community, and to succeed in an Academic certificate, diploma, or degree program at Wake Tech or other colleges in the USA.
Wake Technical Community College is approved to issue I-20 forms so that international students can obtain an F-1 visa to study in the EFL or curriculum programs offered at the college.
