Studies in American Language is located in the heart of the world famous Silicon Valley, near San Francisco. It is close to some of the worlds well-known attractions, including excellent beaches from Santa Cruz to Carmel, the Monterey Bay, the majestic California coastal redwoods, and the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountains which offer skiing, hiking, and boating in areas such as Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park.

SAL offers a comprehensive curriculum of ESL instruction with 8 levels of English proficiency. In addition to the core courses, students may also choose elective classes such as Business English, TOEFL Preparation, Grammar Workshop, Computer Skills, American Film and Video, and Pronunciation/Accent Reduction.
