We provide language tutorials straight to students’ accommodation, as well as educational tours and activities in Cebu, Philippines. Our tutorials are held in a 3-star hotel located very near the famous Ayala mall and within the business center of Cebu city. This means students can be assured that lessons are held in a relaxed and convenient atmosphere, the accommodation is comfortable and accessible to many local establishments. Aside from the traditional language learning methods, our school highlights our “English Exposure Program” (or EEP) which focuses on the use of authentic language and on asking students to do “meaningful tasks” using the English language. Such tasks can include visiting a doctor, conducting an interview, or calling customer service for help. Assessment is primarily based on task outcome or the completion of real world tasks rather than on accuracy of prescribed language forms. English Exposure Program (EEP) - Small Group Class
EEP is a “student-centered” method of learning. It is different from the traditional teacher-centered type of lessons due to the students’ active participation by completing certain tasks which the teacher has given.
Our unique program is “tasked-based”, meaning the students learn the necessary skills in the morning and go out in the afternoon to apply what they have learned in “real world situations”.
The students are given communicative tasks like talking with the locals, asking directions, how to shop and bargain, and other activities useful for the student’s “English Exposure”. All lessons are fully-customizable depending on the student’s level and requests.
