Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) is a public university operated under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, established on September 24, 1997.
In 2018, TDTU is the first Vietnamese public university to be rated 4 out of 5 stars by the QS Stars Ratings. Especially, the university is awarded 5 stars for teaching, facilities, and internationalization. Also in 2018, The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCÉRES - France) recognized that TDTU meets the European educational standard.
In August 2020, TDTU is ranked as the number 1 university in Vietnam and Top 701-800 universities in the world (by ARWU), and in December 2020 TDTU was ranked at 639th of the best university in the world by University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP).
TDTU is ranked at 83rd among 922 parrticipating universities in terms of global impact rankings and the world’s most sustainable development respectively in 2021 by UI Greenmetric World University Rankings (UI GreenMetric).
Moreover, TDTU is ranked 163rd in the Top 500 best universities in Asia by QS Asia University Rankings in 2021.
In Vietnam, TDTU is now the most prestigious university whose 100 percent of students have employments within 12 months after graduation. At present, there are 1,400 lecturers and administrative staffs. There are 50% of international and Vietnamese professors/experts got Ph.D degrees from the Top 500 best universities in the world. In total, TDTU has more than 24,000 local students and more than 4.000 international students from 29 countries. TDTU is also a multidisciplinary university offering 40 undergraduate programs, 18 master's programs, and 06 doctoral programs taught in Vietnamese or in English or in both languages which are designed according to the curricula of the Top 100 best universities worldwide and about 11 joint programs with international universities.
